This run of painted wallets is inspired by vintage gingham shirting.
Made from raw, natural vegetable tanned leather from the well respected Wickett & Craig Tannery. I choose my leather from their “bonepile” which consists of rejected hides deemed damaged or flawed from bug bites, brandings, and other wear and tear that life gives to an animal. I love the “imperfections” and place more value in what is unique to each cows time on this earth. Vegetable tanned leather only gets better with time - it will deepen in color, smooth in texture and take on a beauty of its own(er).
Each wallet will be unique in its hue and markings. Leather is skin, and natural blemishes take place. Embrace the imperfections.
